Website Re-design
Building Bridges for Dependent Visa Holders
Non-profit platform supporting dependent visa holders with resources and social connection. The main goal of the redesign was to establish a brand visual identity and a clear design system that supports the group and fosters a sense of community and belonging.
Contributions
Led user flow and decision making for About, Blog, Event, and Profile sections
Built a unified visual identity and scalable design system
Most recently, redesigned event registration and donation flows to improve usability and boost engagement
Impact
Created a consistent brand presence that reflects community identity
Website reached 1k+ visits during development (before marketing)
Redesigned event and donation flows to support higher participation and conversion in future
Coordinated a cross-functional volunteer team of 8 designers and 10+ developers, ensuring smooth collaboration and alignment across roles
Defined priorities and set clear milestones for website redesign (About, Blog, Event, Profile)
Balanced UX goals with technical constraints to keep the project on track
Facilitated communication across design, development, and content teams, creating shared documentation and decision records
Drove iteration cycles, from initial MVP launch to ongoing improvements (event registration, donation flow, profile features)
Impact: Delivered consistent progress in a large, distributed volunteer team (~140+ members total), maintained project momentum, and ensured design decisions translated into working product features.
